The draw for the quarter final stage of this season’s League Cup took place a short time ago.
Drawn live on Sky Sports following the culmination of tonight’s scheduled games and the live clash between Manchester United and Manchester City, the remaining eight sides in the competition now know their fifth round opposition and they are of course, one step closer to a Wembley showpiece final.
With the draw ball numbers allocated to clubs and announced earlier in the day, here’s how the draw played out.

Arsenal v Southampton
