Before the Leeds game on Saturday, we asked you;

Who do you class as our biggest rivals?

It seemed a fitting question to pose before the Tigers faced Yorkshire opponents in both Leeds and Sheffield United in the space of a week.

The votes are in and here are the results.

Tigers fans voted Leeds United as being the main rivals of the Tigers, with 48% claiming Leeds as our largest rivals.

After that vote, the 1-0 victory against Leeds at the weekend will seem all the more sweet to Tigers fans.

Historically, Leeds are viewed as the big club amongst Yorkshires teams and this could be why half of Tigers fans viewed them as our main rivals.

Next week, City travel to Bramall Lane to take on another Yorkshire promotion chasing team when they face Sheffield United.

14% of Tigers fans view Sheffield United as our main rivals, meaning they don’t carry the same importance to City fans as Leeds do but I am sure we still want the three points and bragging rights!

10% voted Sheffield Wednesday as our main rivals. Last season, they would have been but with Leeds and Sheffield United to contend against, they have fallen down the order.

28% of Tigers fans voted that they didn’t care about any of them. City are all that matters and in our eyes we are number 1 in Yorkshire. Well, we will be if we beat Sheffield United on Saturday – in our eyes anyway!

However, the Tigers may have no Yorshire derby next season. Our victory over Leeds United looks to have all but promoted Sheffield United. Leeds could be promoted through the play-offs whilst Sheffield Wednesday may leave through the back door.

If Huddersfield failed to get promoted from League 1, the Tigers could be left without a Yorkshire derby next season!
