Lescott, Not Williams?

It’s being reported today that Joleon Lescott is very close to agreeing terms with Hull City after we apparently made him a ‘lucrative’ offer to join us.

It’s being suggested that Lescott is on the verge of signing a two year deal following his release by Manchester City, and the 31 year old would certainly be a good addition to the team given the experience he carries despite falling out of favour at his former club last season.

Of course, should the move for Lescott come off, it would likely put an end to our interest in Swansea City’s Ashley Williams.

In other transfer news today, it’s being said that although we have expressed an interest in St Johnstone striker Stevie May, we have simply only ‘scouted’ him so far and have not put in a concrete offer and nor are we expected to make an ‘imminent’ move for him.

Having added Jelavic and Long last season, you’d wouldn’t have thought this one was a starter, more of an option to look at in closer detail next season.

This site is looking for a new editor but would also like your blogs, so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports Hull City we would love to share it with the masses!
