New signing midfielder Jake Livermore has said that he has plenty more left to show the fans after spending 2013-14 on loan with us.

The 24 year old earlier today signed a three year deal at the club that will see him build on his 41 appearances for us so far, and he’ll no doubt be looking to better our 16th place Premier League finish, and hopefully help us to another cup run.

Speaking to the Official Site he said that last term was an opportunity to show what he could do, this time he’ll be looking to build on that.

‘Last season was a great opportunity for me to show people what I could do. But I feel that I have a lot more to give and in my years to come here I want to prove that. It’s great to be a part of a club that wants to move in the right direction. The owner and the manager have a great relationship, and the support we get from the fans is great. The squad is also in a great position and hopefully we can all push on together.’

Livermore says that this pre season and when the season kicks off properly, it’s vitally important that we continue the momentum we had built up last year in our performance levels and the results we were getting as he knows with a stronger and more consistent start to the first half of the year, the better placed we will be to push on from that 16th place and gain ourselves a few positions this year.

Of course,t his season we also have a European distraction, which will be very welcome, but it’ll certainly push the players with the additional games if we can do well, but ultimately that can only help the team and club grow further with experience.
