Mannone early injury doubt ahead of Burnley game

Vito Mannone is an injury doubt ahead of Burnley`s visit to the KC on Tuesday night.

The Italian, on loan from Arsenal, managed to play the full 90 minutes of City`s 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday but was in some discomfort throughout, with Anthony Gerrard and James Chester taking goal-kicks for the majority of the match.

With Mannone a doubt, City are thought to be considering re-loaning Brad Guzan before tomorrow`s key Championship fixture.

The Villa keeper spent two months on loan at the KC but returned after last weekend`s defeat to Cardiff City as Mannone had returned to full fitness.

However, a swift return for a month`s loan could be on the cards as City look to bring in new cover rather than use the 24 hour recall clause in Matt Duke`s loan agreement at Derby County.
