Hull’s Michael Turner kicks off his brand new Icons website with a preview of Saturday’s game against Fulham and reveals why he can’t wait to play Spurs.
We’re all prepared for the new season at Hull. Right now we’re just enjoying the excitement. It’s a new challenge for most of us although we do have players who have experienced the Premiership before. Hopefully those two groups will combine for a good season.
We’ve prepared in the same way we always prepare for a new campaign. The play-offs added an extra two weeks to last season so we’ve simply kept things ticking over since then.
We’re at home to Fulham for our first game tomorrow. I know the atmosphere will be red hot. The club have sold about 23,000 season tickets so we’re almost guaranteed a sell-out for every home game, which is fantastic.
Ever since the win at Wembley the whole city has been buzzing. I’m sure they’ll raise the roof when we kick off against Fulham. It will be a tough game as Fulham have signed a lot of very good players but we’ll be out there to win and get off to a good start.
