Boaz Myhill will make his 200th appearance for Hull City tonight if selected by Phil Brown for the match with Norwich City.
The Tigers squad travelled down last night and are undergoing a light training session today before the evening kick-off. Myhill, who was labelled as being at fault for one of the goals during Saturday`s game at Blackpool is hopeful of continuing his spell in the side and earning his 200th Tigers appearance – a landmark he is proud of.
The City keeper, who signed from Aston Villa for £50,000 in League 2 helped the club to back to back promotions and soon became an established Championship star. The City keeper`s performances even prompted several Premiership clubs to look at the shot stopper, but despite rumours of a transfer away, the American born keeper has stayed true to the Tigers.
Although losing his place in-between the sticks to Matt Duke at the start of the season, Myhill has been an almost ever present since, even if question marks have remained over his decision making capabilities. However, for all the bad things he has done, Myhill has more than made up for it with impressive saves that have earned the Tigers many valuable points over the last couple of the seasons.
The Tigers have not won at Carrow Road since returning to the Coca-Cola Championship, and given the recent impressive form on Norwich City, Phil Brown`s side must be at the top of their game to take at least a point.
