Hull City have stated that no formal offers have been received for striker Abel Hernandez following the ongoing speculation about his future and a potential move to China.

The Hull Daily Mail are one of many to report the rumours that came out over the weekend suggesting that a switch to Chinese side Beijing Guoan could be on the cards before the end of the month with reports suggesting a £15million or £20million move could be on the cards.

The Chinese transfer window doesn’t close until next Tuesday, but the paper report that sources inside the club have dismissed suggestions of any formal bids arriving so far.

With the reported offer of £20million from Aston Villa in the January window being rejected, offers in excess of that may tempt the clubs’ hand though with him having 18 months remaining on his deal but with us unable to secure a replacement now, the final decision is said to rest with head coach Marco Silva.
