Whenever City are awarded a penalty, I am not sure if it is just me but I have no confidence in us finding the back of the net.
Saturday saw Stuart Green miss his second consecutive penalty. A penalty taker must be confident of scoring and Stuart must of had been to take it knowing he missed his last one. He went for his usual corner (unlike against Watford) but this time stuck it past the post.
I am guessing Stuart wont be taking any more penalties in the near future. However, who will?
I am not a fan of Stuart Elliott’s penalties. The stand there and hit it as hard as you can approach fills me with no more confidence than seeing Green stood over the ball. Elliott has also missed his fair share of penalties but I imagine he will be the next player to take one.
I presume Barmby can take a penalty but of course he is currently injured.
Fagan has also missed important penalties such as Swindon last season.
Whoever takes the next penalty, even if it is Green lets give them the support and hopefully they will slot it away.
It must be because we have never won a penalty shoot-out in our history. Perhaps when we finally do that we will start scoring more penalties. Just a hope!

Even our ex- players do it. Woodhouse missed a penalty for Grimsby, although it didn’t cost them as they still won 1-0. He must have been watching Green for too long !!
