Hull City will look to increase their gap over Watford after seeing that lead cut to one due to Tuesday nights defeat.

With Watford hosting Cardiff this evening and City facing an out of form Middlesbrough, Steve Bruce will be aware of the importance of picking up three points with six games of the season remaining.

Bruce must do so without Jack Hobbs who is ruled out with an ankle injury. Alex Bruce will move back into defence, with Corry Evans expected to be brought in. Stephen Quinn, a second half substitute could also start while there are concerns over the fitness of striker Gedo.

Middlesbrough are without Ledesma and Julio Arca but Stuart Parnaby may return for a side who have collected just one point from fifteen, yet with six points between them and sixth, still retain faint ambitions of taking a play-off spot.

Vital Hull Prediction: Hull City 3 – 0 Middlesbrough
