Having lost successive away games at two relegation rivals, City can ill afford to allow a third side to take maximum points off City this afternoon.

1-0 defeats to Norwich City and Crystal Palace have seen City drawn deeper into the relegation battle and today`s match against Sunderland sees the two sides a lot closer than they were when they met at the KC.

Prediction

Earlier in the season, City recorded a 1-0 win at the KC thanks to a Carlos Cuellar own goal and aided by the sending offs of Cattermole and Dossena within minutes in injury time at the end of the first-half.

Sunderland have lost just one of their last nine while City need to turn around a worrying run of away form that has seen them fail to win on the road in their last nine. However, the North East has been a happy destination this season with wins already recorded at Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
