Liam Rosenior has said that he feels Hull are in the perfect position to continue with our growth and development from the last few seasons, but to do that it means the basic aim of the 2014-15 season is to again survive.

Speaking to the Official Site with the players deep into pre season training ahead of our Europa League early kick off, Rosenior admitted that everybody was getting excited from the moment the fixtures were released, but along with the excitement comes the focus on the challenge ahead and with spirits high in the camp, he feels the players have to remain grounded and not get carried away or think we’ve made it yet.

‘We don’t want to be the team that gets promoted, stays up and then goes back down. We want to build this club for the long term. There are a lot of good things happening behind the scenes and this club has only got good things to look forward to.’

With the squad currently away in Portugal on a training camp, Rosenior added that it was the perfect setting to really put the hard work in because the facilities are good, but simple and the camp isn’t luxurious so nobody gets delusions of being on holiday, and everybody can focus on what we are there for, working hard and bonding as a group to see us through the months ahead.
