The four names in the frame are Glen Hoddle, Steve Coppell, Peter Taylor and Colchester’s Phil Parkinson.
The Charlton board are due to meet tommorrow to discuss the merits of those who have applied and those who they are interestd in and it would appear the four mentioned above are the men in the mix.
City manager Taylor has previous premiership experience with Leicester and a move back into the big league would be tempting for the Tigers boss.
Steve Coppell may well stay with Reading having just taken them into the premier league, Phil Parkinson would appear to be 4th choice and Glen Hoddle may well be free if Wolves decide to dispense of his services as is being reported.
This to me would indicate that it is a choice between Taylor & Hoddle for the vacancy.
Taylor has been quoted as saying ‘The only time I would ever talk about it is if Charlton contacted (Hull chairman) Adam Pearson. That’s the only time I’ve got to make a decision.
‘At the moment there’s no decision to make.’
