Thelwell Returns

Alton Thelwell came through his come back game today when he played 45 mins for the reserves against Grimsby.

helwell started the game in the centre of defence and had by all accounts a pleasing run out.The good news was that he suffered no reaction to the Knee injury which has kept him out of the City team this season.He was full blooded in the tackle and made himself known to the Grimsby attackers.

p>Another interesting player today was Curtis Woodhouse who played at left back, and given our current left back injury crisis could it he was being groomed to take over on saturday.We shall have to wait and see but knowing Peter Taylors tactical selections it could be a possibility.

p>For the record City won 4-1 with goals from Bennett, Paynter and Stockdale with an own goal completing the count.
