The Premier League season continued with the latest round of matches played over the weekend.
Liverpool’s thrashing of Watford took them top after both Manchester City and Arsenal drew, Chelsea went up to second. Sunderland and Hull won but stay in the bottom three with Swansea.

Rumours suggested David Moyes was safe from the sack regardless of what Sunderland did against Bournemouth, however a first Premier League win of the season at Dean Court wouldn’t have done his chances any harm with the Black Cats’ two-one win desperately needed.
A dramatic winner deep into injury-time, having previously lost a two-goal lead, saw Burnley got into the international break with a vital three-points after Crystal Palace’s fightback was ultimately in vein.
Manchester City would have been strong favourites to beat Middlesbrough at the Etihad Stadium but they couldn’t follow up the Champions League win over Barcelona with one over Boro, with a one-one draw opening the door to title rivals….
The unbeaten run Stoke have been on was extended with a point from a one-all draw at the London Stadium, the points shared with hosts West Ham.
Chelsea certainly made the most of Man City’s dropped points with Everton thrashed five-nil with that win taking them top of the league on close of play on Saturday with the Toffees’ chance to move up to fifth missed after a crushing Stamford Bridge defeat.
Once again Arsenal missed the chance to go top when held by North London rivals Tottenham on Sunday with this one-one draw seeing Liverpool the side to profit with a six-one thrashing of Watford seeing the Hornets’ good run end and that win taking the Reds top of the league at the break.
Hull go into the break off the back of a positive result, ending a run of defeats with a two-one win over Southampton at the KCOM Stadium whereas Swansea remain without a win since Bob Bradley took over. Manchester United saw them off three-one.
A poor season for Leicester carried on with a King Power Stadium defeat against West Brom, that win is one Tony Pulis will be delight with for Albion but the Foxes struggles go on after this two-one defeat.
