Welsh To Start Against Leeds

Since completing his permanent move from Liverpool in January, John Welsh has lost some of the form which made him look such an exciting prospect.

Welsh struggled for form and as a result has been dropped in recent weeks. The arrival of loan signing Mark Noble pushed Welsh further down the order, but with the West Ham midfielder returning back to the Hammers, Welsh looks set to start on Saturday.

After making a second half appearance at Ipswich, Welsh is expected to start versus local rivals Leeds United in a midfield pairing with Keith Andrews.

Welsh needs to regain the form which he showed early on in the season, and Taylor believes the added pressure of being in a relegation battle hasn’t helped his game.

Now, with safety almost assured, John Welsh will hopefully put in the dominant midfield displays we come to expect from a player of his ability. Hopefully he will start with one this Saturday.
