The 21 yr old striker is due at the K.C today for a medical and a deal could be wrapped up by tonight.

The news of Yeates iminent arrival was released by City chairman Adam Pearson who was speaking on Radio Humberside on Saturday.

‘We expect Yeates to be at the K.C on Monday for a medical with a view to signing him if all goes well.’ said Pearson.

Yeates would be the second youngster from Spurs that City will have signed after Dean Marney joined us from the London club.

He is a player City boss Phil Parkinson knows well after spending last season on loan at Parkys old club Colchester Utd. Whilst playing for the U’s he scored 5 league goals in 42 appearances for them as they won Promotion to the Championship.

He made his Spurs debut in May 2005 playing in their 2-0 defeat of Wolves, prior to joining Colchester he also had loan spells at Brighton & Swindon. He has also been capped 3 times for the Republic of Ireland U21’s.

A versatile forward, he can play up front or on the left wing, and could be the competition that Stuart Elliot needs.

Hope he arrives and goes straight into the team on the left wing against Barnsley.

Good news hope we can get him in for Barnsley game,Maybe put Elliott up front with Parkin and Yeates on the Lefted. What does everyone else think and is he on Loan or we signing him?

Loan I believe? I would just drop Elliott…keep faith in Duffy for a few more games at least – he only needs a goal…two more games then change it if he hasn’t scored maybe?

That sounds Good,I think with two home games coming up Duffy has a Good chance of scoring against Barnsley and Derby.

I can honestly say that Yates is the most exciting player that i have seen come through our youth team for some years…Great ball skills & a real football brain,he”s the spit of Robbie Keane in looks & funnily enough both are from South Dublin….On his debut against Wolves he set up Robbie”s goal but the only other game i can remember him starting was a 3-1 victory in the FA Cup v Brighton…He”s on a 1 year loan & WE are still paying his wages,Jol likes him, hence why he was given a brand new 2 yr contract last week….He”s right footed but plays wide left & believe me he has amazing shooting ability,a real class act who will be playing for Tottenham”s first team in the future….
