Barmby Close to Return

Many City fans view Nick Barmby as an integral part of City’s team, and his experience and knowledge is something we have been missing in recent months.

Barmby has returned to training at a crucial stage of the season – just when City need a cool head most of all.

Barmby hasn’t played for two months so is unlikely to feature against Plymouth but could make a return in the crucial home game versus Crewe Alexandra a week on Saturday.

Barmby’s vision and creative flair could fit perfectly into Taylor’s new 4-3-3 system. The role has seen Stuart Green flourish in recent weeks, and a player with the skill of Barmby should take no time in adapting to the role.
