After the recent news that Hull City goalkeeper Boaz Myhill had been attracting the attention of Premiership club Wigan Athletic, we asked you the poll question;

Will Boaz still be here at the start of next season?

The poll showed the City fans remained optimistic that Boaz has a future with the club as 70% reckon he will be a Tigers player next year.

During the Player of the Season awards, Boaz announced he wasn’t going anywhere but within a day we were hearing of £1.5 million bids being rejected for the shot-stopper.

Boaz has been an influential member of our squad this season and his performances have gone a long way to ensuring the Tigers survival in their first season in the Championship. That earned him the accolade of the OSC Player of the Season and now City fans will be hoping that Boaz stays.

Boaz has stated in the past that he doesn’t wish to move to the Premiership in order to become a reserve goalkeeper but will the pull of the Premiership be too hard to resist?

Boaz has aspirations to play for England and although we all hope that Hull City will make it to the Premiership in the near future, what happens if they don’t? Very few England players’, if any, come from Championship clubs and if Hull City are not progressing will Boaz make a move to the Premiership in order to accomplish his goal.

It is evident some fans share that same view as 17% said Boaz won’t be a City player next season.

Ultimately the decision could become one of money. Manager Peter Taylor is not willing to let the player go for under £2 million. Even though Boaz has been a huge influence on the squad, £2 million would go part of the way to building a squad capable of challenging for Promotion positions.

13% say the decision could go either way and at the moment it is certainly looking like that. Whatever happens, be sure to check back here at Vital Hull to find out.

    no we wouldn’t. We aren’t a selling club and we don’t need the money. It might be beneficial to our future but we don’t have to let him go if we don’t want to.
