City confirm pre-season fixture at Birmingham

Hull City have announced their first Pre-Season friendly in preparation for the 2013/14 Premier League season.

Steve Bruce will take his side to former employers Birmingham City to face the Championship side on Saturday 27 July (kick-off 3pm) as confirmed by the club`s official website.

City`s most recent league visit to St Andrews saw City emerge 3-2 winners. First half goals from Aluko (2) and Chester saw City seal the three points, despite a fight-back from the hosts through goals from Morrison and King.

Further pre-season dates are expected to be announced soon with Phil Buckingham of the Hull Daily Mail confirming that City are expected to play a couple of fixtures in Portugal.

City have been linked with a move for Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies in recent days and the confirmation of a pre-season fixture at Birmingham will undoubtedly lead to suggestions that the fixture is part of the deal to bring Davies to the KC Stadium.
