The latest Vital Hull poll predicts an easy victory for the men in black and amber.

Despite an opening day loss at promotion favorites West Bromwich Albion, the performance displayed under new manager Phil Parkinson was one of encouragement and the latest poll shows that fans believe a similar performance will see nothing less than a City win.

90% of readers who voted believe City will win tonight. An attacking performance should prove too much for a Barnsley side who are adapting to the Championship following a 2-1 opening day defeat against Cardiff City. Despite City missing a number of chances against West Brom, the main culprit being Scot Daryl Duffy, City fans are hoping the goals will flow in this Yorkshire derby.

Only 6% of readers believe City’s first home game of the 2006-07 season will end in defeat for the Tigers. The last time the teams met at the KC Stadium, City finished as 2-1 winners thanks to a second half goal from Craig Fagan – a similar result will be welcomed tonight!

With Barnsley also suffering an opening day defeat, Tykes fans will be hoping for an opening day victory to ease the pressures associated with a slow start to the season. However, Hull City should be too strong for their Yorkshire opponents.

The thread is now open in the 100% forum for our ‘Guess the team’ competition along with our weekly score prediction threads – come and take a look.

No-one believes the game will finish goalless whilst 4% believe the result will be a score draw.
