Leon Cort has left Hull City but becomes the Tigers record transfer sale.

Leon Cort has become Peter Taylor’s first Crystal Palace signing after completing a £1.25 million move to Selhurst Park. Although a fans favorite at the KC, every player has his price and it appears we found what Leon’s was.

Although many fans will have wanted Leon to stay, under no circumstance is Leon worth £1.25 million. The money raised from this transfer will go directly into recruiting players for the new campaign.

The transfer has allowed Leon the opportunity to move closer to his family whom all live within close proximity of Crystal Palace. Adam Pearson revealed that Leon Cort didn’t ask for a transfer but the opportunity was too good for the player to turn down.

Cort was one of Taylor’s best signings as he managed to pick up the player for free two years ago from Southend United. The player formed part of a solid defence and his constant performances have now earned him a million pound price tag. Luckily for the Tigers, Pearson revealed that Boaz Myhill and Damien Delaney will not be leaving the club.

Leon was a great success at the KC and we wish him all the best from Vital Hull. Although we will have to watch out for his aerial presence when he visits the KC, at least we know how to beat him – just run at him and he will back off!
