Mohamed Diame and Hatem Ben Arfa have both spoken about their transfer deadline day moves to Hull.

Diame arrived first from West Ham, signing a three year deal and he told the Official Site that he couldn’t wait to get started with life at Hull now once he returned from Senegalese international duty.

‘I’m very excited to be here and I have been waiting for this moment to sign. Speaking to the owners, the manager and everybody at the club, I am very happy to be here. I want to thank the manager and the owners for showing belief in me and now I will make sure I repay that faith on the pitch.’

Ben Arfa moved to us after we were granted an extension to get the paperwork through on deadline day and he moves to us from Newcastle on a loan spell until the end of the season.

In his interview he explained he never actually saw the move coming, and Monday was a very long day as he made his way to the club late on to try and get the deal through.

‘At 1am everything was complete and I was very happy. I’ve very much looking forward to the start of a new challenge. The manager wants me here and that is important, I’m looking forward to being back on the pitch after two months of only training.’

Let’s hope they all settle in quickly now and we can kick on following the dismal showing against Aston Villa.
