Did the 4-3-3 Work?

Last week, we asked you Did the Wolves tactic work? and your votes have shown you are in favour of this formation.

40% of you said that the formation did okay, where as 37% thought it worked very well. With two thirds of the Tiger nation thinking the tactic worked, I would say it was a success.

Despite the Tigers losing, it was an undeserved result. We dominated the game for large periods and were let down by three defensive lapses. Parkin was exactly what we needed through the middle and Elliott and France provided great support from the wings.

The midfield also looked much improved, although I suspect many fans would prefer to see John Welsh in the middle of the park compared to Stuart Green.

When managing the Under 21’s in midweek, Taylor employed a 4-3-3 tactic and it seems to be a tactic Taylor has started to favour. I fully expect this to be employed against Leicester City – hopefully with the right result this time round.

8% of you considered it to be a poor choice of formation but perhaps that was down to the personnel employed rather than the tactic? Anyway, I think those 8% may have to get used to it for a while!

13% wanted us to stick to our traditional 4-4-2. At this point of the season, I guess it isn’t the time to be changing formation but if it gets us the result on Saturday, I am sure there won’t be too many complaints!

Why not take a minute and vote on our new poll…What will the Leicester result be?

4-3-3 worked well on Saturday and with Welsh in for Green and Fagan in for France we should manage to frighten the Leicester defence enough to allow us to feed the Beast.
