90 minutes and Sunderland stands between Hull City and only a second ever FA Cup Semi Final this afternoon.

City will look to put last week`s 4-1 league defeat to Newcastle behind them by progressing into the FA Cup Semi Finals against a team they have already beaten twice in the league this season. Sunderland meanwhile have dropped to 19th in the league after recent postponed fixtures whilst they look to recover from Sunday`s League Cup final defeat to Manchester City.

City`s task is made harder with both Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long cup-tied; Sone Aluko, Matty Fryatt and Yannick Sagbo expected to start and to provide City`s goal threat. Robbie Brady has a groin injury and will miss the remainder of the season.

Sunderland have no injury concerns other than Kieran Westwood whilst Liam Bridcutt will return to the midfield after being cup tied for the League Cup Final.

Former Sunderland and now City manager Steve Bruce is determined to earn a third win against his former employers having recorded 1-0 and 2-0 victories at the KC Stadium and Stadium of Light respectively; the games made noticeable for the three red cards suffered by Sunderland during those fixtures.

Although Premier League survival will remain the clubs number one aim, the City players today have a chance to earn long standing recognition amongst the City supporters and achieve only what the team of 19329/0 has managed previously.
