First Of Many

Duffy appeared as a second half substitute and scored in the 81st minute to wrap up the Tigers first away victory in nine attempts.

‘I was delighted with the goal,’ he said. ‘It was great to get it in only my second appearance and it was a terrific ball from Craig (Fagan) which put me in.

‘I had a couple of touches and stuck it away which was nice. With the amount of time I had, the temptation was there to take another touch but the keeper made it slightly easier for me because he just seemed to stand still.

‘But I’m happy to have got off the mark and hopefully I can go on from here.’

The former Falkirk player was also delighted that he played a part in helping his new team get the much needed three points.

‘It was a brilliant result and couldn’t have come at a better time – we needed it badly,’ he continued.

‘We got a great start with the first goal and then Bo has made a fantastic save from the first penalty.

‘That kept it at 2-0 and all credit to him as it was a brilliant save.

‘We’ve got to kick on from here now because one victory doesn’t mean anything.

‘The pressure will be on us when we play Coventry a week on Tuesday and to be honest it’s a pressure we’d rather have than not.

‘But hopefully we’ll be able to perform well again and pick up another three points.’

Lets hope it is the first of many. We will need him to score a few more this season, and the aquisition of Duffy and Parkin look to be shrewd signings at the moment. Lets hope we can continue it against Coventry.
