Every City fan will remember the ticket fiasco at Elland Road on New Year’s Eve. From hearing no City fans would be at the game to only being allowed 1,700 – the episode became a farce.

On advice of the West Yorkshire police, City fans had to travel to the game on organised travel. This was only stopped due to a little bit of sense being seen, and a rather lengthy petition from fans of both clubs and football in general.

What happened at the match? City lost, but was there any trouble? NO.

Now the corresponding fixture has arrived, City have decided against taking similar action, instead letting Leeds have 3,000 tickets for an eagerly anticipated match.

The only hope being that once the match is over, both sets of fans behave and next season, if both clubs remain in the same division then Hull City will be treated like any other football club visiting Elland Road.

It will be nice to go to Elland Road with a 10 percent share of the stadium rather than the four percent we were given. If the game passes trouble free – West Yorkshire Police, please take note and give us our rightful representation at the ground next year!

Some City fans may have wanted Pearson to treat Leeds the way we were, but by allowing Leeds fans the maximum amount of tickets, it will make for a bumper crowd and great atmosphere come twelve noon on Saturday.
