Anthony Gardner has completed his loan move to Hull City in a deal that will see the Spurs man join till January.

In a move the defender described as an easy decision, Gardner becomes the seventh signing of a busy summer. Phil Brown, who will be eager to strengthen his defence following Saturday`s showing at Crewe welcomed Gardner to the club as he trained with his team-mates for the first time this morning.

The 6`5“ defender will add Premier League experience to the City backline following his loan move. Although not confirmed on Hull`s official website, the Hull Daily Mail has pictured Gardner training with his new team-mates following Brown`s confirmation of the signing on Saturday.

Gardner’s loan deal will run until January after which time Hull may sign the player depending on the success of his loan spell at the KC Stadium.

Gardner may feature against Oldham Athletic tomorrow night and should play against Hearts on Sunday.

You know Hull are going to be the new whipping boys!! how could you loose 4.0 to Crewe!!

If this boy stays fit he will be excellent for you, I am in a minority of spurs fans who actually think he is a decent player, but like so many players he needs regular football, something he never got at Spurs, Good luck AG, I hope we dont see you back in January, as this will meand you have been a success…

Dazza I appreciate your concerns over our form but surely you have more pressing issues on your plate like replacing Berbatov and Keane!

he could be the quality defender that we need to partner turner

  • North says:

So when exactly did he say that he turned down Stoke? Think it was more the fact that we were not in for him in the end. Spurs were asking for a lot of money for someone with such a shocking injury record and we weren’t willing to use up a loan on him (only have 2) so we weren’t in for him. If you seriously think he would choose you over us when he is a local lad then you really are deluded.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story though ey?
