Hull City defender Anthony Gardner has reiterated his desire to stay at Crystal Palace beyond the end of the season.

The £2.5 million signing has spent the season on loan at Selhurst Park, but was inelligible to feature during yesterday`s 1-1 draw at the KC.

Gardner, who was signed from Tottenham Hotspur as The Tigers won promotion to the Premier League in 2008, is out of contract in the summer. With no deal in the offing from Nigel Pearson, Gardner will be one of several players who will leave the KC this summer, with Gardner hoping his loan deal to Crystal Palace will become permanent.

Dougie Freedman, Crystal Palace`s manager, has also spoken of his desire to sign Gardner to a permanent deal, and a summer move is expected for the defender, who has featured 32 times for Hull City.
