Hull City have completed the loan signing of Peterborough United front-man George Boyd on an emergency loan.
Boyd, who made three goals and scored one as Peterborough hammered Millwall 5-1 on Tuesday night will head straight into the City squad which travels to the Reebok Stadium on Saturday to face Bolton Wanderers. Boyd, who has featured prominently in a struggling Peterborough side, has seven goals to his name this season.
Although local media in Peterborough suggests City have parted with a seven figure sum to seal the deal, Phil Buckingham has suggested the initial deal has cost £200,000 with add-ons. Boyd is out of contract in the summer and with a permanent deal agreed, will complete a full transfer to the Tigers in the summer, joining on a two year deal.
27 year old Boyd was the subject of interest from three other Championship clubs having seen a deadline day move to Nottingham Forest fall through due to a failed eye test.
