Having seen Ray Parlour suggest he would like to extend his stay with Hull City, we asked you whether you would want him to.

Unsurprisingly, a huge ninety-six percent of you voted to say that you would like to see Ray Parlour in a Tigers shirt next season.

Parlour has made two full appearances for the Tigers since joining on a pay as you play deal. Parlour’s debut came as a substitute away at Derby County before he was handed his first start at Oakwell.

Parlour made an instant impact on his home debut against Birmingham as his cross was turned in by Dean Windass to give Hull City the lead during their two nil victory over high-flying Birmingham City.

The midfielder produced a stunning display in-front of 18,000 people at the KC as he inspired the team to a victory that moved the club out of the bottom three.

The former England midfielder currently trains with his former club Arsenal on Monday’s and Tuesday`s before having Wednesday off. A further day of training in London is then completed on Thursday before heading north to train with the club before the day of the match.

Parlour was released by Middlesbrough before Phil Brown decided to bring the experienced midfielder to Hull. Despite offers from several other Championship teams, Parlour was encouraged to take on a new challenge – helping Hull City remain in the Championship.

The midfielder is more used to winning Championships having won two during his time with Arsenal along with numerous domestic and European cups as well as England caps. However, saving Hull City from relegation would go alongside his previous achievements in his illustrious playing career.

Parlour has twelve games remaining with which to help his new team avoid relegation before deciding on where his future lies. Although he may not be keen to move to a northern club due to his family commitments in the south, the current playing situation may suit the midfielder.

Parlour told the BBC website;

‘I want to play as much as I can. I’m definitely hoping to stay next season.’

With ninety-six percent of the City support backing the midfielder, he will certainly be a welcome figure should he join us permanently next season.

    Well i believe if we stay up he is happy to carry on as he is, training with Arsenal and then coming up here. Could Arsenal and Hull City become Feeder and Parent clubs, could we see more players come this way, lets hope so!
