The Sheffield Star reports today that Hull have shown an interest in Sheffield United’s Harry Maguire.
21-year-old Maguire has been linked with championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers for most of the summer with at least two offers turned down for the former England U21 international.
It’s claimed that ‘sources at Wolves’ have said that Steve Bruce has registered an interest that threatens their hopes of signing him? Not that the league 1 club want to sell anyway as have insisted that they don’t. Everyone has a price though don’t they.
Nigel Clough has been keen to get a new contract signed by him, with his existing deal set to expire next summer meaning that Sheffield United would be entitled to compensation only if he left.
How much truth there is to this only time will tell!
