Hull City have had to pay Plymouth Argyle an extra instalment of £500,000 after City avoided relegation from the Premier League.
The Tigers signed Plymouth Winger Peter Halmosi for an initial £2 million last summer but with an additional sum of £500,000 due should Phil Brown’s side avoid an immediate return to the Coca-Cola Championship.
As a result of Sunday’s events, Plymough have now received a timely cash boost.
Despite his hefty price tag, Halmosi has only made four starts and fourteen substitute appearances since moving from Plymouth. He has remained a regular in the Hungary international side but has rarely been favoured under Phil Brown.
Halmosi’s only goal came in the FA Cup fifth round against Sheffield United during the 2-1 win at the KC Stadium.

Oh dear, couldn’t they have taken Marney instead?
Not convinced yet but I hope he somehow proves his worth to us next season.
