Michael Turner finished the season by playing in every minute of Hull`s maiden Premier League campaign before pledging his future to the club.

The Official Supporter`s Club “Player of the Season,” Turner has been in magnificent form this season, even winning the recognition of Liverpool and Manchester City if media reports are to be believed. A watching Fabio Capello almost gave Turner an England call-up but decided not to. If the centre-back has a similar season next term, there is surely no way Turner can be omitted from the England side.

Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, Turner said;

Earlier in the season I signed a four-year deal and I think that says it all’

‘I’ve been desperate for this club to stay up and having done that, it’s a great achievement.’

‘This club wants to really push on from here and become an established Premier League side and I want to be a part of that.

Turner finished the season as one of two who played for their club in every minute of the 2008/09 season, the other being Portsmouth`s Sylvain Distin.

Brown will now look to keep hold of his prized asset before bringing in four or five new players to improve his squad and move forward from this season`s 17th position.

    The next Legend? Would love to see him in our colours next season, and at some stage, an England shirt would be just reward.
