No surprise really considering his scoring form since joining us and his raport with the fans and their chant’s of ‘Beast’
‘The Beast’ joined City in the January transfer window from Macclesfield Town where he had made his name as a powerful no nonsense centre forward.
He started out at Barnsley progressing from the youth ranks to the senior team.But after loan spells at Hartlepool and York he found himself surplus to requirements at Oakwell.
Former Hull City manager Terry Dolan had spotted his potential whilst he was on loan at York and the minstermen signed him in February 2002. He started out in central defence but his height and power soon had him playing up front.
He eventually left York in january 2004 and joined up with another ex Tigers manager, Brian Horton at Macclesfield.He blossomed at Moss Rose and left Macclesfield with a record of 25 goals in 60 appearances.
He hit the ground running when he joined the Tigers and scored on his debut against Crtstal Palace. He has so far notched up 4 goals in 10 appearances for the Tigers as well as giving us the hold up option we had been missing since Ben Burgess was injured.
