Vital Hull asked you who you thought the man of the match was versus Colchester United. Here are the results.

Nicky Forster was voted the clear winner with 56% of the votes. The City striker scored mid-way through the second half to give Phil Brown’s team the lead before Jamie Cureton cancelled out his strike with a second-half equaliser.

The strike, after Ashbee’s cross from the left hand side was Forster’s second in two games after scoring in the Easter Monday defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Forster was brought to the club by Phil Parkinson on deadline day as Fozzie made the move from Ipswich Town to the KC Stadium. Although he suffered an indifferent start to his City career, the City striker is now a first-team regular.

In second and third place came Boaz Myhill and Sam Ricketts respectively, both with nine percent of the vote.

Myhill’s saves were critical in keeping City in the game and had it not been for the shot-stopper, City would find themselves inside the relegation zone. Sam Ricketts was also given a noticeable mention after he produced a solid display from right-back.

Only one player from the starting eleven received no votes, and that was the returning David Livermore. The City midfielder was rushed back to fitness by Phil Brown and it showed as Livermore struggled with the tempo of the game, meaning the other City midfielders became overrun.

Michael Turner was the only other City player to mention as he received six percent of the votes.
