Hull City`s hopes of allowing Aaron Mclean to leave on loan have been dashed by a knee injury sustained by the striker.

The out of favour forward, who has been told by Steve Bruce he can leave, is set to be sidelined for six weeks after suffering medial ligament damage in training and looks set to miss out on a move away from the club until later in the year.

Whilst Mclean will be frustrated at unable to find a way out on loan, Cameron Stewart, who joined Charlton Athletic on deadline day, scored his first goal for his new club in defeat to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

Closer to home, another player who has struggled to get near to the first team squad, Nick Proschwitz; has scored four goals this evening as the reserves have beaten Rotherham United at North Ferriby United`s Church Road ground.
