A successor to Gary Walsh, after he left Hull to take up a coaching role under Steve Bruce at Aston Villa, has been confirmed with former Premier League winner with Blackburn Bobby Mimms appointed as City’s new goalkeeping coach.

Following his appointment Mimms has been quoted by Sky Sports as saying.

‘I’m pleased to be here and delighted to have joined a club that is looking to progress in the Premier League.’

After losing Stephen Clemence to Aston Villa before Walsh left as well Mike Phelan turned to Neil McDonald as his assistant, Mimms, who previously worked with McDonald at Blackpool when he was the boss at Bloomfield Road, has (probably) completed the backroom staff at the KCOM Stadium.
