Alan Rogers could miss the Yorkshire derby with Sheffield United.

Although he played in the victory against Leeds United, Rogers is still feeling the effects from his illness which ruled him out of the Tigers trip to Ipswich Town.

As a result, Andy Dawson has been put on standby and wont play in tonight’s reserve fixture just in case Rogers doesn’t make the trip to Bramall Lane.

Alan Rogers is currently on loan at the Tigers from League 1 side Nottingham Forest.

Since falling out of favor at the City Ground, Rogers has flourished at the KC. Several impressive performances have followed his loan move as he has put himself in the shop window for potential bidders.

Whether one of those will be Hull City we will have to wait and see. After the release of Roland Edge in the January transfer window, the Tigers were left with one recognised left-back in Andy Dawson.

Damien Delaney can add some cover to the position but he isn’t a natural there. The introduction of Alan Rogers into the team has added competition for places and his experience has shown in the latter stages of this season.

I feel Rogers would be a good signing for the Tigers and is something Taylor should look to push for. The competition it would provide Dawson will improve both players’ games.

Whether or not a move will be made for Rogers we will have to wit and see, but we will tell you here when it happens!
