Talking Derby…

Rabid Rob: Hello Chris and thanks for joining us. Tell us about Nathan Doyle, we don’t know much, except when Bradford fans have told us.

Chris Lee: Nathan struck me as a player that always tried a little too hard to impress, always seemed (at least when I saw him!) more comfortable in the midfield than right-back. However things might have changed for him whilst at Bradford. He looks to have lots of energy and enthusiasm, but I feel that he needs an old head to guide him and not a younger manager like Phil Brown. OK, there’s bias, due to the terrible job he did at Derby, but I just feel a experienced character rather than a strong and confident one would bring the best out of him.

RR: Well he might surprise everyone, heaven knows we need something. Saturday’s game then?

CL: As for the game on Saturday, I can’t really recommend anything else than put a spare pound on Derby to win 1-0! – seems like that’s all we can do now and not for the lack of trying! The game at St Mary’s could have easily been 4-1 to the Saints and was only by some fortuitous luck that we kept a clean sheet! A clean sheet on Saturday will equal the record set by Clough’s side of the 60’s, 10 would be a miracle!!!

RR: So who should we watch for?

CL: As for the strike force, Howard is the man to watch! Played for 90 mins of all but one game this season and has been deadly over the past couple of games. Fagan is a name you know, however has had little impact over the last few games and Davies might be tempted to start with Lupoli instead.

RR: Dare I ask you for a score prediction, as if I don’t know whats coming?

CL: Without sounding arrogant, I don’t fancy your chances much at Pride Park and hope that this time we win by playing decent and attractive football. However at this point I’ll take every point regardless as to how it comes!!

RR: Crumbs! Ok, final word….

CL: Hope that after the game you go on a 14 game unbeated streak and relegate the Dirty Leeds!!!!
