The FA met on Tuesday to discuss the charges which were brought against Hull City manager Peter Taylor in relation to the incidents that occurred in the league game versus Sheffield United.

Taylor was found guilty of ‘abusive and/or insulting’ words to an official.

Following the meeting, Peter Taylor has been fined £300 and has been warned over his future conduct.

The incident occurred after midfielder Stuart Green had been denied a blatant penalty.

Sheffield United had marched into a two goal lead with Neil Shipperly and Paul Ifill finding the net. However, Stuart Elliott and Daryl Duffy managed to equalise for the Tigers.

At 2-2, Stuart Green was brought down in the area by goalkeeper Paddy Kenny but the referee gave no decision, something which infuriated Taylor.

Peter Taylor went on to see his side lose 3-2 with David Unsworth netting a 93rd minute winner. At the time, the Tigers weren’t assured of league safety but luckily it didn’t cost the team in the end.
