Hull City complete the 2006/07 season with a home game against Plymouth Argyle on Sunday 6th may at 1 p.m

Dean Windass’ second half strike ensured that his hometown club would survive in the Championship for another season, and the club wants to see as many fans as possible turn up at the KC to join in with the celebrations.

Although the achievement of avoiding relegation may not be cause for too much celebration, Phil Brown has performed a small miracle to keep the club in this league after such a disappointing start under Phil Parkinson.

The club is expecting a crowd in excess of twenty thousand for Sunday’s game, and tickets are already selling fast.

The club’s official website has also extended their thanks to Bonus Electrical, as Sunday’s game will signal the end of their five year sponsorship deal with the club. Karoo and Kingston Communications will be taking over the role of shirt sponsor next season, with a two year deal signed last month.

Sunday’s game may also be the last appearance several City players make for the club before the usual summer transfer gossip starts about who will be arriving and who will be leaving the KC.

The game is expected to be Ray Parlour’s for the club before he becomes a free agent in the summer, with Brown having to make the decision over whether he wants to sign the former Arsenal player permanently. Recent weeks have shown the former England midfielder to tire easily and in my opinion, we shouldn’t be looking at signing Ray Parlour for next season’s campaign.

Sunday’s game is also expected to be Jon Parkin’s last for the club as he looks set to leave in the summer. Lee Peltier will also return to Liverpool with a permanent move unlikely.
