After two games on the road the Tigers are back in home action this evening, with the televised visit of Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday. A good win tonight could see Parkys team move out of the bottom three, at least until tomorrow teatime.

Vital Quotes:

Hull City Team News:

Tigers Boss Phil Parkinson could ring the changes tonight with new loan signing Danny Mills expected to start the game in the centre of defence in place of Michael Turner. Striker Nicky Forster is a doubt with a groin injury so it could be either Craig Fagan, Nick Barmby or John Parkin (Returning from suspension) who line up alongside Michael Bridges up front.

If Fagan does start alongside Bridges, then Ryan France could move to the right side of midfield allowing Mark Yeates the opportunity to make his Tigers debut on the left hand side.

With the Tigers looking to build on Tuesday night’s win at Leicester, there could be a recall for Dean Marney in the middle of the park to replace the more defensive minded David Livermore, but he could face competition from Barmby and John Welsh.

Tigers Possible Myhill, Ricketts, Dawson, Collins, Mills, France/Fagan, Ashbee, Marney/Livermore, Yeates/France, Bridges, Fagan/Barmby/Parkin

Player to watch: Michael Bridges

After his stunning strike on Tuesday night against Leicester, it was clear to see that the ex Leeds man is a class act and he will be hoping to add to his tally in front of the home faithfull this evening.

Sheff Wed Team News:

Sheffield Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock is sweating on the fitness of midfielder Glenn Whelan, who picked up a hip injury in Tuesday nights 1-1 draw with Stoke City. Fellow midfielder Steve Adams returns to the first team squad after a groin injury.

New loan signing Lloyd Sam could play after recovering from a dead leg.

Sheff Wed probable Jones, Simek, Coughlan, Bougherra, Spurr, Sam, Lunt, O’Brien, Brunt, Burton, Tudgay.

Player to watch: Lloyd Sam

The speedy winger, on loan from Charlton Athletic has pace to burn and can whip in a deadly cross from the bye line. The city defence will have to have their running shoes on tonight as he will be looking to exploit any weakness down the flanks.

Match Facts & Stats

In the previous five meetings between the clubs, the score stands at 2 wins each and a draw, the last time they played each other was back in December 2005 when a late Jason Price goal gave the Tigers a 1-0 win at the K.C stadium.

This season has seen The Owls become the divisions draw specialists with one win and 2 defeats in their opening 7 matches.

The Tigers on the other hand opened their win account on Tuesday night at Leicester and with 5 defeats out of 7 they will be looking to build on that victory.
