Changes are likely to be made to the Arsenal side that face Reading but Arsene Wenger would still expect to have enough quality to see the Gunners into the last eight but Royals boss Jaap Stam will hope for the Championship side to cause an upset.
With an upset something Bristol City are going for too against with the in-form Robins potentially coming into this as the favourites to beat Hull despite City being in the Premier League as the form is poor of late.
Two all-Championship ties will see Leeds hosting Norwich, which is a tough one to call on Tuesday with Newcastle likely to be the favourites in the other but Preston come into the match at St James’ Park very much in form but then again so too are Rafa Benitez’s Championship table toppers.
The tie of the night on Tuesday will see Jurgen Klopp’s impressive (so far) Liverpool side playing host to Tottenham at Anfield.
Wednesday nights ties are all Premier League meetings with a couple of derbies chucked in too!
Southampton’s match against struggling Sunderland will see the Saints favourites at St Mary’s but you can never tell with a cup-tie when changes often take place with changes to both West Ham and Chelsea’s sides expected too for the match at the London Stadium.
Manchester City won the Manchester derby against Manchester United earlier in the Premier League season with Man United looking for a measure of revenge in the next at Old Trafford.
We can say it goes without saying the expectation; most definitely the hope at least, will be for a positive result.
