Hull’s European adventure begins tonight as the Europa League third qualifying round first leg against AS Trencin takes place in Slovakia tonight.
The competitive season starts a few weeks earlier for us than our premier league rivals, this could prove a good thing to start with but it’s a worry that as it unfolds tiredness could kick-in, but that is for another time!
Competitive debuts will be made for summer signings Tom Ince and Robert Snodgrass but fellow signing Andy Robertson and Harry Maguire are ineligible.
Steve Bruce does have injury doubts over Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies and David Meyler but all three have travelled.
Will we take a step closer to the Europa League proper? We’ll find out soon enough!
