Reports today have revealed that an injury sustained whilst on loan with the Tigers has stopped any hopes the club had of re-signing the right-back.
Mills joined the team in mid-September but on an initial three month loan deal but this was cut short after an injury sustained in November. A stress fracture of his shin meant the player had to return to Manchester City but the Tigers were hopeful of a new deal being negotiated in the January transfer window.
Despite regular talks between both parties, the recovery from the injury sustained with the Tigers hasn’t been sufficient and any move for the player has been postponed. With Mills expected to remain sidelined for at least another six weeks, Hull can’t afford to sign a player available to play in March at the earliest.
Danny Mills has a small possibility of playing for the club again due to the loan window ending at the end of March but any move will be decided nearer the time. Phil Brown will instead focus his searches for new players on other areas.
Mills impressed during his nine appearances in a Tigers shirt and the news of his recovery will have come as blow for many City fans. With the possibility of the player returning towards the end of the season, many fans will be wanting to send Danny Mills their best wishes and hope that the small possibility of his returning to the club does come to fruition.

It’s not really the news we needed is it – he would have surely been a good signing and someone that would have added even more fight to our survival bid. I hope brown has back-up’s.
A real shame..as Mills would have added value at the time we need him…
Would be a real asset to the club both short term and medium term. Hope something can be sorted when he regains fitness
