The long-winded transfer saga involving Harry Maguire and Andrew Robertson are finally over with the defenders putting pen to paper on contracts with Hull today.
A ‘would they wouldn’t they’ scenario has panned out for much of the summer, at one stage deals were on then off, on again before being off again but they are now done with both signing three-year contracts with us.
I think we probably know just about all there is to know about both by now but to recap Robertson is a 20-year-old Scottish international left back who we’ve signed from Dundee United for a fee of £2.85m.
21-year-old Maguire has been in and around the Sheffield United first-team for the past three seasons with the central defender an England U21 international having played over 150 times for his former side, where he won a host of End of Season Awards last term, he has signed in a deal worth £2.5m.
All that remains to be seen is how they can perform for us!
A player leaving us today though is Conor Townsend; the 21-year-old left back has gone in the opposite direction to Robertson by signing for Dundee United on a season-long loan.
